How’s your business doing? Are you making the money you need?
For many cleaners, costs are skyrocketing, sales are flat and the profit margins are slim. Even if they wanted to sell, they probably couldn’t. And if they did, they’d never get what they want or even close to what they would need to get out.
All businesses go through trends. For example, all cleaners experience seasonal trends of one form or another. Typically the fall and spring months are up while winter and summer are down. But when the housing market is disrupted or when the price of gasoline increases by a dollar a gallon… it can have a devastating effect on all businesses. When that happens, people visit the cleaner less frequently and bring less than they normally would.
The current slump may only be temporary, but if you’re having difficulty now and can’t afford to wait for the trend to turn around, perhaps the answer is to add a second stream of income right from your dry cleaning plant. The advantage is you can keep your business… work day to day as you normally would but supplement you’re now earning with a second stream of income.
